Concrete Garage Roof Types
You have a choice of three main roof types, and these are:
 |
Flat Garage Roof
These roofs fall from front to back in shape, and are generally made of galvanised steel. A standard roof sheet should have no joint leak, be made of steel for vandal resistance, and be treated on the inside face with a Grafo-Therm anti-condensation treatment to minimise any condensation risk. The roof sheets slope from front to rear. For extra security, a plastisol coated galvanised steel roof sheet can be fixed to roof purlins, with special high-security fixings that need a special tool to remove them.
Apex Garage Roofs
An Apex Roof, commonly known as a pitched roof, is generally pitched at 12.5 degree, with sloping to both sides. Fibre cement roof sheets 125mm (5" profile) fasten to roof purlins using galvanised steel roof bolts. Close fitting cement ridges are recommended to minimise condensation risk.
Granular Steel tile Roof
This is a traditional fully-lined roof, with felt and batten construction. These roofs blend in with your home as they usually come with a choice of colour.
